Neisa Brito Barbosa

Digital Communications Intern

Neisa Brito Barbosa is overjoyed to join the She Should Run team as a digital communications intern this fall. She is currently a third-year Social Work and Political Science major at New York University, where her passion for advocacy and social justice shines through her work. Neisa has engaged in a range of impactful initiatives, including conducting research for the Rhode Island Judiciary and Brown University on youth welfare, advocating for incarcerated individuals with The Fair Justice Initiative in Ghana, and contributing to the rewriting of statewide school curriculum in Rhode Island to promote diversity and inclusion.

Neisa has been honored by New York University as a Changemaker Fellow, Global Leadership Scholar, and Dean’s Scholar. Through the Changemaker and Global Leadership programs, she has received funding for research focused on global human rights and advocacy, further solidifying her commitment to creating positive change.

She is excited to contribute to the impactful work at She Should Run and is eager to help drive meaningful change!
