Beka Dychtwald

Communications Intern

Beka is a rising sophomore at the University of Chicago, double majoring in History and Political Science, with a minor in Spanish. She finds joy in working with children, especially those in underrepresented communities, and helping them find confidence in their potential. Prior to She Should Run, Beka has worked in different teaching positions, as well as working with local and national organizations such as the Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute, the American Jewish Committee, and Latinas Leading Tomorrow. She also works as an intern with the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum where she strives to bring the history of the Holocaust and the stories of survivors to student groups and the public in an accessible and meaningful way.

In her spare time, Beka enjoys baking, volleyball, and frequent coffee breaks. She is a proud sister of the Pi Beta Phi IL Kappa chapter and a passionate member of the UChicao Hillel. She’s originally from Bethesda, Maryland but has spent time all over the DMV. She hopes to travel more and further connect with her Salvadoran and Jewish cultures.
