Lissette Sanchez

Chief Operating and Impact Officer

Over the past 25 years, Lissette Sanchez has combined her passion for creating social change with a passion for creating high-performing organizations. As She Should Run’s Chief Operating and Impact Officer, Lissette approaches maximizing impact by creating organizational effectiveness through culture, capacity and strategy.   Lissette started her professional career as a reporter and quickly transitioned into the nonprofit sector - shifting from reporting a narrative to working at effecting change… or being part of a narrative. Her professional background includes leading the largest homeless shelter in Northern Virginia as well as leading a free preschool program serving primarily immigrant children and families.  Lissette earned a B.S. in Communications from Emerson College. Raised in Miami, FL by Cuban immigrant parents, Lissette now resides in Alexandria, VA with her young-adult children - Leah and Julian and two rescue dogs.
