Grace Zandi

Program Intern

Grace is honored to be joining the She Should Run team as a Program Intern. She is a fourth year at the University of Chicago studying Public Policy and Human Rights. Grace is originally from the suburbs of Philadelphia, and this past summer, she lived in Washington D.C. where she worked for the Brookings Institution as a Research Intern. While at Brookings, Grace researched congressional oversight of the executive branch and the interactions between the executive branch and Federal Reserve. She ended her time at Brookings with a published blog post about the impacts unified and divided governments have on executive oversight. Previously, Grace interned at the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office on their policy team, where she worked for a year tracking, analyzing, and implementing criminal justice related policies in the Illinois General Assembly. She is also the President of UChicago’s Women+ in Law student organization, which strives to advance the success of young female and nonbinary students interested in the legal field. Grace hopes to have a career in the law working to identify and advance financial arguments for equality and other social justice causes.
