ASK a WOMAN to RUN for OFFICE

Many women never even think of running for office, even if they would be fantastic at it—this is where She Should Run™ comes in. She Should Run identifies talented women leaders who should run, then gives them the encouragement, information and connections they need to make that final decision.

There are four types of "asks" you can make: Ask a woman completely new to public life to run, ask a women currently in office to run for a higher office, ask a young woman to run for a position such as student government, or "ask" yourself to run and join She Should Run.

ASK a WOMAN NEW to PUBLIC LIFE to RUN

Women are 50% less likely than men to seriously consider running for office, and 30% less likely to actually run. Women are also 1/3 less likely to be asked to run, or to consider themselves qualified. When women do run, they win at the same rate as men.

This is for the woman who should run for office, but may not know it yet. Click below to tell a talented woman leader you know that She Should Run.

ASK a WOMAN to RUN for HIGHER OFFICE

Do you know a woman who currently serves elected office, used to serve, or has already run for office? We need her to run for higher office.

While having women at all levels of elected office is important, it’s also crucial that experienced women rise to higher levels of office in our government. Studies show that women are more likely to be interested in local office, while men are more likely to be interested in state or federal office. If local and state women leaders don’t step into higher roles, our federal government will be lacking talented women’s voices.

Ask a YOUNG woman to RUN

It’s important for women’s political involvement to start early. A perfect way for women to gain leadership experience and get a taste of running for office is to run for a position such as student government.
